As mentioned previously, the stock Hurricane seat is damn near a torture device on rides longer than 30 min. I was getting by with a breathable seat pad, and a slice of blue closed cell camping mat. It worked great, but it had the tendency to slide all over the seat, and with the temps dropping, giving me chilly cheeks. So, I figured, might as well repad and recover the seat. I watched some videos on YouTube, made a list of supplies, and got started.
All in all, it wasn't a terrible job. There are some less than stellar spots (on the sides where the factory strap used to be, and on the front sharp corners), but I'll address those later. I was going to go with boring black, or something crazy, like snake skin but my local store only had a handful of colors. The maroon really stood out to me, reminds me of Doc Martens. If you're going to take on this job, definitely invest in a pneumatic stapler, you'll be glad you did. Tackling the wrinkles wasn't too terrible, pull/stretch, and staple. Repeat until the wrinkle is under the seat.
