dreaming of the future...
I love my SECA II, it is a great motorcycle in my opinion. It can cover all my requirements, commuting, fun and touring. But I can't help but dream of the next bike to add to the garage. Something bigger, with fuel injection and a bit more umpfh. I've always liked the underdog, the oddball. I've always liked Buell's styling and innovations. For awhile, I had a thing for the City-X but the "monkey humping a football" seating position isn't for me. Lately, I've been like the more street oriented dual sport bikes such as the V-Strom, Versys and BMW F series.

I came this close >< to buying a Buell Blast, but they were still really buggy at the time. :(
I tried to find one last year but didn't have any luck. It's a perfect city bike. I've heard that after 2002 they got much better. No more paper gaskets!
My ex-Editor buddy likes his, I was surprised at its relative light-weight, he likes the relative simplicity - got tired of the whole Ducati Desmo tap-dance.
The numbers I have seen for the weight surprised me too. Fuel injection, hydraulic valves and a belt drive, more riding, less wrenching!
How strange life is. Tonight, I get to pick up my 06 Buell Ulysses (same color as the pic).
I've lusted after a lot of bikes on this blog, funny that I buy the first one I mentioned.
